Heads to roll as police build water-tight case

Consequent upon extensive interrogation of the dreaded kidnap kingpin, Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike, also know as Evans, by the police high command in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Sunday Vanguard can authoritatively reveal that a lot has been unearthed.
EVANS
Based on the intensity of the interrogation, the extent of the reach of the kidnapper has now been discovered by the police authorities .
In fact, a very competent source disclosed to Sunday Vanguard that the quantum of revelation coming from Evans will shock many.
“Nigerians will be shocked”, the source said, “to see that when investigations are completed and Evans is being prosecuted, there are actually some godfathers and protectors who are notable in society, who have been giving him cover all these years, while the police was frantically searching and hunting for him with a view to arresting him.
“These are pieces of information that are still being processed now.
“What the police is doing is to ensure that by the time we get to court for prosecution, we would be presenting a water-tight case so that we can achieve the ultimate conviction”.
The source said Evans is “safe” and enjoys the highest level of security protection under the direct supervision of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris.
Though one of the sources declined giving the exact location of the criminal who circumvented security agency’s high-tech attempts to arrest him for over three years, the detention location, believed to be in Abuja, is said to have a 24-hour, round the clock protection, with Special Counter-Terrorism, MOPOL, and IRT Forces, keeping a close watch. The source continued, “we now know the workings and networking of the high caliber kidnapping gangs operating in the country and even their international links”.
Sunday Vanguard was also made to understand that “a can of worms involving lawyers and other arms of the legal profession who work hand in gloves with robbery and kidnap gangs, on retain-ership, will be opened”.
The senior official further hinted that Evans still appears to enjoy sympathy (and possible control) of gangs within Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
These gangs, Sunday Vanguard has been told, are capable of mobilising huge funds to jeopardise Evans investigation and prosecution, which explains why the Police High Command is taking personal responsibility of keeping him safe until investigations, which have so far been revealing, are completed.hmmm nawa oooo what exactly is going on in this our country .
