Jail me, I stand by my corruption accusation against Ortom, says Tsav

The Commissioner in charge of the Public Complaints Commission in Benue, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav, says he will not retract his alleged damaging comments about Gov . Samuel Ortom as requested by the Tiv Traditional Council.
Tsav said on Wednesday in Makurdi that he stood by his letter where he urged the anti graft and security agencies to investigate allegations of corruption against Ortom .
Tsav in the said letter accused the governor of “ executive recklessness ” and privatization of the state .
The 10-page letter dated May 16th , titled “ Whistleblowing: Stagnation of Benue State ” was addressed to Gov. Ortom .
Tsav also made copies of the letter available to the NAN Makurdi and all the anti-graft agencies in the country.
He accused Ortom of “ corruptive nepotism and executive recklessness ”, alleging that the governor has placed his family business, Oracle Business Limited, above the state , claiming that the action represents a conflict of interest.
However, the leadership of the PCC in the country and Tiv traditional council had waded into the matter and tried to reconcile Tsav and Ortom.
The reconciliation meeting advised Tsav to publicly apologize to the governor and retrieve all the petitions against him and any member of his cabinet within two weeks.

Neymar tells Barca teammates ‘he is leaving’

Neymar’s potential world record move to Paris Saint-Germain moved a step closer on Wednesday as the Brazilian informed his Barcelona teammates he is leaving the club, a Barca spokesperson told AFP.

“The player came to train as scheduled and announced to his teammates that he is leaving,” said the source.
“The coach has given him permission to not train and to manage resolving his future.”
Speculation over the 25-year-old’s future has dominated the first few weeks of new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde’s reign with PSG reportedly willing to pay Neymar’s 222 million euro ($260 million) buyout clause.
Such a fee would smash the current record £89.3 million ($111 million, 105.2 million euros) Manchester United paid for Paul Pogba last year.
Neymar arrived back in Barcelona on Tuesday from a fleeting promotional tour to China after playing in all three of Barca’s glamour pre-season fixtures in the United States against Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
He arrived for training at 9am local time (0700GMT), but left left less than an hour later.
Presuming both clubs don’t come to a late agreement, the buyout clause would have to be paid to Barcelona via Spain’s La Liga to free the player from the contract he signed last year and runs until 2021.
However, La Liga president Javier Tebas has threatened not to accept PSG’s money over what he perceives as a failure on the French side’s part to comply with UEFA’s financial fair play rules (FFP).
“We will not accept this money from a club like PSG,” Tebas told Madrid sports daily AS on Wednesday.
“Especially when this club is infringing rules and laws.”
Barcelona have also threatened to report PSG to UEFA over any potential breach of FFP.
Clubs can be sanctioned by UEFA for making a loss of more than 30 million euros over a three-year period.
PSG have already been fined and saw their Champions League squad limited by UEFA for breaches of FFP in 2014

Entrenched interests launch campaign against Nitel acquisition

The recent media onslaught against the former Chairman of Skye Bank, Mr. Tunde Ayeni is targeted at frustrating the acquisition of Nitel and to ensure it is deprived of needed funds to execute its work plan.
According to a retired director of the Ministry of Telecommunications who preferred not to be named, the mafia behind the recent media campaign are the same as people who have sworn to retreive the former national telecom company from Natcom since the company won the bid and launched its brand, ntel, and introduced to the market the most sophisticated 4G services .
He said:”It is quite sad how in Nigeria we dig our own grave and we cry that we are not making progress. I just saw on an on line medium some grave allegations about Tunde Ayeni and his stewardship in Skye Bank.
Tunde Ayeni
While I do agree that office holders should be accountable for their actions, I wonder whether this should be in the media. One would wonder what the real intent of Skye Bank or whoever is behind that story is. Having petitioned the President of this country, why hastily bring the same allegations to the media?
The intent of this is either to conduct a media trial and convict the person (given Nigerian’s general phobia of not wanting to be in the press), or to pre-empt the President and blackmail him to act in a particular manner.

Police deploy trackers, drones to curb animal rustling

The Nigeria Police Force has said it would deploy electronic technology involving trackers and drones to curb animal rustling in the country.

He disclosed that the committee did not receive any partnership or support from private individuals and corporate bodies in the course of its assignment, but expressed hope that they would buy into the project.
He said, “ Addressing security issues is multi -faceted; it was in the spirit of this that the Nigeria Police Force in May this year hosted a National Security Summit on kidnapping, farmers -pastoralist clashes, violent crimes and other forms of criminality. ”
The Assistant Inspector-General , Force Animal Branch , Charles Ugomuoh who led the committee on curtailment of cattle rustling , explained that the mandate of his committee was being carried out to end the conflict between herdsmen and farmers.
“ICCCRN mandate is being carried out through provision and application of animal loading and offloading (movement) permits, adherence to use of designated cattle stock routes , institutionalization of usage of designated grazing reserves and corridors and most importantly , cattle ownership identification, tracing and tracking of animals using appropriate technology , ” he said.
The representative of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria President, Idris Bawa highlighted the benefits of the technology to the audience and urged them to buy into the project in order to protect their herds.

Three terrible things a man can do during sex

There are plenty of tips and tricks men can practise to spice things up in the bedroom .
From orgasm -enhancing sex positions to libido-boosting foods, there are never-ending discussions on ways men can enhance their partners ’ sexual experience .
But what are women’ s biggest turn-offs during sex?
To find out what behaviours men should avoid , Daily Star carried out a poll.
“What ’ s the most off-putting thing a man can do during sex?” it asked .
The poll, of 1 , 700 people revealed the following:
• Farting is the most off-putting thing a man can do during sex! A whopping 47 per cent of participants said farting during the act is the fastest way to spoil the mood.
Other bedroom faux -pas include the following:
• Orgasming and then rolling over . This was revealed as the second rudest bedroom habit with 41 per cent of the votes.
• Boasting about (sexual) performance came in third , with 12% of women saying it was a turn-off. This complaint is tricky, though ; as a new report titled, “Do Women ’ s orgasms function as a masculinity achievement?” reveals that men feel more manly and sexually empowered after a woman orgasms.
The study , published in the The Journal of Sex Research , asked 810 men to imagine that a woman had orgasmed or not orgasmed during sex with them .
They then had to rate how masculine they felt after the act. Results revealed that men who imagined women climaxed felt more manly.
These feelings were “ exacerbated for men with high masculine gender role stress, ” meaning that men who adhere to typically masculine gender roles were more likely to feel like superheroes after getting a woman to reach a climax.
While him doing a little celebratory dance about making you orgasm might be seriously off putting, there are some benefits too.
It could encourage men to work harder to make a woman orgasm . This could result in more foreplay and more oral sex.
However, women actually find men boasting about their sexual skills one of the most unattractive things , so be careful not to big yourself up too much.
It’ s better just to put on a good performance and then be quietly content with your achievements.
